Since the time our companys establishment in 1928, we have manufactured a variety of inorganic materials starting with carbon (C) and silica glass (SiO2). Other materials include silicon carbide (SiC), alumina (Al2O3), yttria (Y2O3), titania (TiO2), silicon (Si) and hydroxyapatite (HAp), a biomaterial. From this foundation of materials we have built two pillars, one representing crystal structures (amorphous to single-crystal) and the other representing microstructures (porous to super dense). We develop highly functional materials and parts along these pillars, and we can manufacture the materials and parts with various coatings and epitaxial growth (thin film crystal) as well as material bonding.
