The heat-treating technology for electronic component materials such as ferrites, ceramic dielectrics, and IC substrates is advancing year by year. CoorsTek supplies an extensive range of kiln furniture for use in electronic component heat treatment, such as pure alumina, alumina-mullite, and electro-fused zirconia, to satisfy the wide-ranging demands of its customers. By providing products that facilitate automated and energy-efficient heat treatment, we contribute to the advancement of heat treatment technology. In particular, our lightweight material CELITE and a number of coated products used as setterless materials are highly regarded for their contributions to more economical energy and labor allocation.
Plasma thermal spray ceramics have made it possible to meet a long-standing need to obviate setter. Plasma thermal spray coating is used in a wide range of applications, including multilayer ceramic chip capacitor (MLCC) heat treatment, since it allows for a finer layer structure than conventional coating and demonstrates remarkable resistance to abrasion and peeling, and products that employ this coating suffer less damage during heat treatments. This type of coating also contributes to preserving the environment since it saves energy and resources due to its reusability.
